Jóhann Vignir is a composer, music producer and recording engineer from Iceland currently based in Stockholm, Sweden.

The last 16 years Jóhann has been working professionally creating and recording music along with working on post production for commercials, TV and film.

Jóhann’s music has been performed by Uppsala Chamber Soloists and Gotlandsmusiken and Jóhann has performed electronically at the Norberg Festival and at select concerts at the Royal Academy, both solo and accompanying other musicians.

He has collaborated with festivals/ concert series including Svensk Musikvår, Ljudvågor in Gotland and A Sudden Point of Balance.

Currently Chairman of the Board for Sound of Stockholm, music festival for contemporary music in Stockholm.

With a background in garage rock and pop, Jóhann discovered a passion for contemporary music and electroacoustic music after relocating to Sweden in 2018.
Jóhann has studied composition at Gotland School of Composition and the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm.
